1949-53: Accusations of being a communist sympathiser cause Matthias Earl Graye to be blacklisted in the Red Scare that followed WWII. Even though Matt served in WWI, and entertained troops during WWII, McCarthy fever prevails and Graye is dropped from his record label. He attempts to self-release his only recording during this time; the "Weary & Dreary" single. He can't even give most of them away.
Subsequently released on 10/27/06 at Buckhorn Records, including several fan tribute remixes. 4/27/14.
