Originally released at Boiler Room Sound. This piece was recorded during early Autumn of 2008 as a one-off, mere days after finishing the debut record (BRS#01). During the session, a synth in the studio (which had been accidentally left on) began picking up some sort of odd radio or cellphone signal, which provided both the inspiration and backbone of the track. The foreign voice made me think of my father's time overseas during the war, and a story my mother had told me about a little villager girl who brought him a live beetle in the middle of the night to eat, as an offering of friendship. 8/23/12.
